In Kellye Garrett’s Amazon Originals Busybodies Collection, we meet Kennedy in the short mystery One Lucky Subscriber who might win $50,000 if she manages to evade being found over the course of one evening hiding in one of the largest malls in America.

Kennedy is a reluctant participant but hoping all the same that she will be one of the winners of the $50,000. She could certainly use it since she’s raising her younger brother on her own. We meet the other participants, getting to know some better than others, as well as the online host who is little more than a complete jerk, Kidd.

As the hide and seek game slowly moves along throughout the evening, an assault on Kidd brings the hunt to an abrupt end, along with accusations flying at all the participants. Kennedy finds herself being accused of assault, then realizes the prize money is missing. Can she clear her name beyond any doubt and solve which dastardly contestant cheated more than all the others?
